Bibhushan Shakya is a theoretical particle physicists with an interest in collider physics, neutrino physics, cosmology and astroparticle physics, currently working at CERN. He grew up in Kathmandu, Nepal, before moving to the United States to pursue higher education at Stanford and Cornwell. He studied physics, mathematics, and philosophy while gaining research experience in observational cosmology and theoretical astrophysics. He has been with CERN since July 2019.
All the stars, the galaxies, the gas we see, the Earth, everything on it, all the planets, all the stars: those only make up less than 5% of the universe. And that is one of the big questions of physics today: what is other 95% that we know exists but we have no idea what it is?
