Europe’s largest interdisciplinary science conference presented in a new, hybrid form for 2022

From 13 to 16 July 2022, EuroScience Open Forum (ESOF) will take place in the European city of Science 2022, Leiden, The Netherlands. The conference will be accessible onsite and online enabling every delegate to access all the scientific content for two months. Furthermore, this ESOF edition is very special, because for the first time, it will also host a regional site of ESOF in Katowice. During one day, on the 15th July, Katowice will also offer an onsite and online ESOF programme with scientific sessions, an exhibition and other side events. During this prestigious science conference in two scientific relevant cities, you can look at today’s world through interdisciplinary glasses.

ESOF2022 is open to all academics, students, policymakers, artists, and other curious minds who want to explore beyond the limitations of their own discipline, who seek interdisciplinary cooperation, who are prepared to embark on scientific adventures and who are curious about the world of tomorrow.

The overarching theme of ESOF2022 is Crossing Borders, Engaged Science, Resilient Societies. With over 120 sessions and more than 500 speakers from 60 countries, this promises to be a highly interesting edition and a very diverse programme. ESOF2022 will highlight seven thematic tracks: Sustainable Environment, Cultural Identities and Transformation, Space for Science, Healthy Societies, Freedom and Responsibility of Science, Science and Business and Sustainable Academic Careers.

ESOF2022 is the place to be to meet old and new colleagues and to debate the future of science. Science is not limited to borders, and neither is ESOF2022. The hybrid conference offers a fantastic new platform to ensure that everyone can participate and interact, from anywhere in the world.
