Dear Readers,
Time to reveal your scientific personality through tailor-made cartoons!
We would like to invite you to participate in our Bitstrips competition, which is available only from EuroScientist Facebook page!
All you need to do is to create your own Bitstrips scene or gather several sequential Bitstrips scenes to tell a story inspired by your scientific work or any of the themes featured in EuroScientist, be it related to science policy and funding, scientific careers, innovation, science education, or scientists’ lifestyle.
If you don’t have the app yet, it’s easy to get it here.
Through a few simple steps, you can create your own avatar which you can attach to different Bitstrips scenes from the gallery and then customise them – add a text, engage your friends etc.
Once you have created your Bitstrips, you just need to download the picture and send it to EuroScientist by sharing it on our special Bitstrips gallery, so we can all share the fun! You may also send it to us via a private message on Facebook.
Our special judging panel composed of the EuroScientist team will choose three the most interesting Bitstrips.
The judging criteria are :
- originality
- creativity
- effective communication of a science-related idea
First prize: a one year EuroScience membership with a one year personal subscription to Nature Journal, plus an interview in the EuroScientist magazine.
Second prize: a one year EuroScience membership plus an interview in the EuroScientist magazine.
Third prize: video interview to be published in the EuroScientist YouTube channel.
The closing date for this competition is the 31st January 2014.
And now it’s up to you – show us who you are ! 🙂
